INTRODUCTION
Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Cultural and Welfare Society Bidar is a registered Non – Governmental voluntary organization has implemented a set of activities during The year 2019-20 to meet the objectives of its goals by raising funds from both State and Central Government sectors and the particulars of them are as under.
Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Cultural and Welfare Society is Non-Profit, Non Political and development organization it has been working with multi-sectoral communities without distinction of caste, creed in Bidar & Bijapur District of Karnataka State, Since its inspection 1993 it has been working for development of the most marginalized and Vulnerable sections of the society.
The basic objective of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Cultural and Welfare Society is to introduce experiments and innovation in development, economic and employment activities of sustainable developments modules in agriculture, environment and ecology, education, women empowerment, child care and working in Disability field. The basic approach is to implement development programmes based on the felt needs of the people with an effect to mobilize people’s participation for individuals and community development.
Over the past 23 Years Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Cultural and Welfare Society worked to identify the needs and meet the aspiration of the rural poor and weaker section through participatory approaches. Awareness, rising, community health care, child Labour elimination, caring of aged Peoples and rehabilitation, environment protection, income generation activities, School For Mentally retarded Childrens, Hostel For Disable Working Women’s, Child Help line, Helpline For Senior Citizens, School for Duff & Dumb, Natural Resource management, Women and Child Development Programmes, Swatcchata Abhiyaan Around the District, Giving Digital India Trainings, promotion of local group and involvement of the groups in development activities are the major thirst area of the organization activities.
LEGAL STATUS
Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Cultural and Welfare Society is Registered with Government of Karnataka and Registration under National Trust Act. Registration No/Unique ID of NITI Ayog is KA/2012/0052063.Our organization has been obtained the 12A and 80G for tax exemption under Income Tax Act 1961.
STAFFING
Staffs are recruited well experienced and qualified and series of given various trainings and orientation sessions to equip them with the skill to take up the project forward. As at 31.03.2020, the break down of the staff strength is as follows.
Permanent staffs : 96 Temporary staffs : 19 (96+19=115)

To Find out an straight & alternative strategy of Rural and Urban social intervention and facilitate the NGO movement in the state.
MISSION
Establishment of an equitable social order through motivation, facilititation and self activity among backward rural & Urban communities with emphasis on women and children in the sphere of health education, human rights, economy and rural leadership.
ACTIVITIES
During the reporting Period Organization conducted and organized the following activities and programme in order to promote the Educational, Health, Economical and social status of the poor of poorest and most marginalized community of the rural and Urban.
NATIONAL FESTIVALS
it is important that patriotism is a needed quality of every citizen. To make our target groups to understand that value of the national festivals such as independence day. Republic day. Karnataka Rajyostava, Hyderabad Karnataka Liberation Day, Dr.B.R Ambedkar Jayanti, Basaveshwar Jayanthi, Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Jayanthi, Mahatma Gandhiji jayanthi, Shahu Phule Jayanthi and all State Government Decided Jayanthi’s were carried out in our target area.
WORLD DISABLED DAY
Every year we organize the world Disabled Day and Autism Day in which disabled of Bidar & Bijapur District were invited and a special programme on the disabled person will be conducted and motivation will be given to the disabled handicapped peoples the staff members and special guest will address the programme and through which many things will be learnt from them and disable persons will be encouraged to the disabled persons. The programmed was appreciated be the peoples and demanded for many programmes in the coming days.
